This was a rushed (and sloppy) job at a mitten pattern and the leftover yarn turned into a skinny scarf accessory. All of it was with one Ombre (Loops & Threads) skein. It took a couple hours or so but now I have more mittens. Lion Brand website is THE best place for free patterns. (www.lionbrand.com)

One Skein Mittens and Scarf
This was a rushed (and sloppy) job at a mitten pattern and the leftover yarn turned into a skinny scarf accessory. All of it was with one Ombre (Loops & Threads) skein. It took a couple hours or so but now I have more mittens. Lion Brand website is THE best place for free patterns. (www.lionbrand.com)
Tablecloth and Runner Fabric
Made it to Jo-Ann's (kids had electronics and sat in the cart) so I had 15 minutes uninterrupted (sorta). Found the black with squigglys for a tablecloth and then the pink with squiggle hearts is going to be a table runner - if I ever get my act together. I thought they'd be perfect for my 31 parties!
Need help deciding on my Crocheted Bag

I started this bag about 3 years ago (on a road trip). I put it in a craft bag and put it in the closet and forgot about it. So - I found myself a treat in the closet this season. Now - I'm wondering if I can call this side "done" and move to the other side/piece or if I should make it any longer? Any suggestions?

AND finally - my other yarn project is brought to you by WAY too many hours parked in front of the boob tube watching A Christmas Story over the holiday season. I realized that I had all the colors of Schwartz's stocking cap in my stash so I plan to make the hat (hopefully soon). It needs to "get in line" as I keep coming up with LOTS of ideas but I haven't picked up a needle or hook lately. I'm one of those people with fabulous ideas but no follow through [sometimes] so we'll see......
The GREAT cowl for GREAT Aunt Julie

AND - here's my next project. A cool cowl for great aunt Julie. I made her kids some yoga socks and a Harry Potter/Gryffindor scarf for Christmas and I couldn't leave her out in the cold (HA! (inadvertent pun!), so I'm making her a cowl/hoodie (from the Bernat pattern as pictured) with the oatmeal yarn from Vanna's Choice (Lion Brand) yarn (as pictured). Her coat is black so she'll look just like the picture but reverse!! :) I'm excited to see how it's going to look!
New Yarn and Cowls and Mittens - Oh My!

Yep - this cowl is just a repeat picture BUT I finally finished my pink cowl. It looks very much like this but just several more rows. It's big and poofy. I did an extra few half rows on the back so I can pull it up and over like a hoodie. I realized that if I'm going to go out in really cold weather with it, I'd obviously need some gloves or mittens. I was looking at yarn at Michael's (for yarn for Great Aunt Julie's cowl (see next post), and saw the Impecceable 'Loops & Threads' pink and brown ombre (as pictured) and absolutely HAD to have it (and being on sale didn't help my impulse buying ;). I'm making
the Bernat chunky mittens (as pictured). Never fear Great Aunt Julie, your cowl is next!!!
